no title yet,, just something i’ve been writing,, it’s supposed to be a 2 part fic on ao3 and this is literally the first quarter of part 1,,,,,,, but like idk when i’m going to finish writing this and I DON’T WANT TO DROP IT so i’ll put it up here as i finish it section by section hhhhh ENJOY?

I’ve been thinking of a de-aging fic in which an incident or other happened and Xue Meng has his hands full with these twins who regressed back to how they were when they all first met at Sisheng Peak. They have no memories of anything after that, and they have imprinted onto Ziming-gege. How is Xue Meng going to balance his Sect Leader duties with taking care of these twins who keep aging one year for every week they spend with him?

Just an idea for now…

[2HA SPOILERS] Oof, am I glad mpreg is not a thing in-universe and that Taxian-jun was never able to get Chu Fei pregnant. That would be scary. Taxian-jun in the 0.5 timeline under the influence of the flower had moments of lucidity, but by and large he really wasn’t himself. I don’t think he would ever hurt any children of his and Chu Fei, and there would be the rare moments he played with them and showed them genuine affection, but he was covered in blood more than not and probably wouldn’t have much time to see them anyway. So generally an absent father who might overcompensate at times. That’s not too different from how emperors are depicted in palace drama though… so maybe Taxian-jun wouldn’t really be an exceptionally bad father.

Chu Fei would be terrified. He still had some trust in Mo Ran, but considering the evidence of his own body and the things Mo Ran would do to him, I think he’d be very protective of his children. Not to mention the scheming from Empress Song if Chu Fei had children but she remained childless? Chu Fei would be hyper-vigilant, without his spiritual core, and perhaps overly strict with the children just as he was with Mo Ran as his disciple. And the children would definitely be afraid of their other father especially when he came back from battle… yeah. This would be a very scary family to be in, very unsettling. :/ But the worst part would be Mo Ran would keep making sure more princes and princesses are brought into the world… so thank you Meatbun for not making this a thing and sparing us that trauma at least.
